Oh no, he's on the move!

This morning, I was have a tremendously difficult time trying to change Isaac's diaper on the changing table. He just kept flipping himself over and over and over. I managed to get his diaper closed and his two shirts snapped on, and then I just put him on the floor, because while this tumbleweed impression was happening, I also got a little shower! Ugh.

I turned around after cleaning up the table a little bit, and he was across the room! I sat there in awe for a second, and then ran out of the room to get my camera!!

Now I realize he hasn't quite mastered it yet, but hey it's crawling! YAY!

So thankful for the sun!

After what seems like endless days of rain, the sun has finally returned to us! And I couldn't be more thankful! Every chance I get I'm playing outdoors with this little guy. Letting him soak up as much vitamin D as humanly possible I think! So far he doesn't seem to mind, but gets a little angry with me when I don't let him taste all the leaves, and grass, and sticks that are just within his reach.

I have almost gotten to the point of counting down the days until we'll be playing at the beach! Now to just research sunscreens for him. . . .

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

Yesterday Isaac and I celebrated Saint Patty's day with a few impromptu photo sessions! I'm very, very lucky to have such a tremendously happy baby, and one who doesn't mind a mommy who takes 13,000 pictures at him at one time! He was such a trooper!

Ian had a half day at school so after we picked him up, gave Isaac his lunch, we went for another walk on the golf course. The weather has just been way too nice to stay in the house! Plus, I think a little fresh air helps not only the body, but also the soul.

I brought Isaac to his six month doctor visit, and everything is right on schedule! His pediatrician is very impressed with his social skills, and his eye contact. Well anyone who's met him knows how social he is! He weighed in respectively at 17lbs 8.5 oz, and is now a whooping 27 1/4 inches long! Whew, man how he's grown!

Michael, Isaac and I went to the Wharf for dinner, which was a real treat! We hadn't been there in a few months. They had been closed for a few weeks, and did a little revamping, the place looks great! And man, was it packed! We ran into a bunch of good friends, and everyone was just delighted to see how big Isaac has grown! So big in fact, that last night was his very first night in a real high chair!

Let the training begin!

Today Michael and I took Isaac swimming for the very first time! I was a little bit nervous, thinking that he would freak out or cry. But to my delight, he L O V E D the water! We got tons of giggles, and big smiles! There was a water aerobics class going on when we got there, I got the feeling that the instructor was less than pleased that we showed up, because half of the older women in the class flocked over to the baby!

A swim instructor came over to me and said that I should let him hang himself off the side of the pool, which of course he did, perfectly. Michael gave him a little kickboard which he just adored.

I believe that Isaac's training to become an Olympic swimmer, is off to a tremendous start!!

Triumph over tofu

Hooray, our little man loves tofu! And hooray, I don't have to put meat in the blender, all in all I'd say it's a win-win situation! Yay.

How has it been six months already?

Wow!

Yesterday Isaac celebrated his half year birthday. Whew, six months already? I can't believe it. I feel like it's gone by so fast, in just a simple blink of an eye, poof. It's amazing to me how much he changes day to day. And I'm really glad that I vowed to take pictures of him each day! He is just such a blessing, an angel living among us.

Work it baby!

Today Isaac and I had an amazing opportunity to have one of my closest friends, Ariel, take some AMAZING pictures of him. She is building up her portrait portfolio, and asked if I would like to have Isaac sit for her.

Well I just jumped through the roof at that chance! And now that Isaac was feeling a little bit better, I thought it could be great! We tried as hard as we could, but that little guy just would not smile for us!

Ha, maybe next time! Because I'm sure there will be a few more photo sessions! Yay!

Spring has finally sprung!

Finally the sun has come out, and seems to want to stick around! And not a moment too soon either. With the whole family sick with a nasty stomach flu last week, the nice weather was an added bonus! I was VERY happy for a chance to get outside and enjoy the sun!

Just last week I was saying how sick I was of looking out the window and seeing nothing but gray.

Michael, Isaac and I went for a nature walk to Great Rock Bight on Sunday, and yesterday, I just played outside with Isaac. I let him explore the grass, which he'd never done before. It was really kind of hilarious!

Uh, he doesn't get that from me!

As most of you may know, I have a strong shoe fetish. I'm not really quite sure when it started, but it hasn't stopped yet. To this day, there have only been a very, very small group of shoes that I didn't get along with.

Apparently, me trying to rub that fetish off on Isaac, backfired. . . just a tad! At our playgroup last week, a few moms were giggling looking down at him and this little girl Autumn as they played together in the little play pool.

Well let me just say how horrified and embarrassed I was when I saw what they were all laughing at! Luckily Autumn's mom just thought it was funny. Whew.

This one's for YOU Gigi

This weekend we were very lucky to get a visit from Michael's parents! His mom is staying all week, but unfortunately, his dad (Isaac's Gigi) had to leave today. Luckily he was able to stay long enough to catch a few of Ian's hockey games, and snag a few cuddly moments with Isaac!
