Houston, we have feet

Although Isaac noticed his feet quite a while ago, he's just now come to the realization that he can stick those bad boys in his mouth! My dad calls him a little yogi now, man that boy is bendy!
I love his face in these pictures, he gets so into it, when I take his picture, he looks like he got caught.

Play Group Pimp

A few weeks ago, I started going to a "baby's first year" play-group. It's more of a new-mom-sit-around-and-vent group, but it's still kind of fun. It's allot of moms who don't seem to get out very much, and some moms who are having a rough time with things.
It turns out to be pretty helpful, we all kind of bounce ideas off of each other. If one baby is going though something, another baby is bound to have been through it, which makes you feel a little but less alone in this whole experience.
I really like the fact that Isaac can hang out with some mini humans, closer to his own age, and interact with them. The first baby he saw was a little girl named Abby, who's mom was in our birthing class. He just fell in love with her! Until the second baby, Story came along. . . Man, she is one gorgeous little girl! She looks like a little perfect, porcelain doll. Well, he fell head over heals for her!
Most of the moms are a little skiddish about having other kids touch theirs, but I'm not shy about it. Seriously, these are babies, they learn through touching and feeling, and exploring new things. So Isaac took that idea to heart when he decided that he wanted to taste Story's hand! I thought it was uber-adorable, Story's mom. . . not so much. Ha, what are you going to do?
This week some new friends joined the group, and I had promised one of the moms that I would bring my camera, (since I'm the designated documenter of everything!) and I'm really glad that I did. Isaac got to meet two new girlfriends, Harley and Ava.
I'm convinced that he will be the pimp of this play group, because he's one of three boys there! And one of those boys is only a few weeks old!
Isaac is a few months younger than the majority of the other babies, but he doesn't let that slow him down one bit!

Lucky #9

I can't believe that I haven't posted this until now! I swear this new mama mush brain thing is starting to wear on me!
On January 11th, Ian Bae turned NINE years old! It's simply amazing to me how fast these past six years have gone by. I needed to actually count the candles on the cake for a little proof! After dinner, Alecia and Mike came over for some cake, sherbet (Ian's dessert choice) and presents, which was awesome.
I had made Ian's cake to look like a present, and I was actually pretty proud of myself, it turned out looking great!
Isaac managed to sleep through most of the party, but joined us just in time for some of the last presents! Apparently, he didn't want to miss ALL of the fun!

Peaches Peaches Peaches

This morning as Isaac was acting less than impressed with the contents of his bottle alone, and then still not entirely impressed by his oatmeal, I decided that it may be time for fruit! I was looking around at the fruit I had, and peaches seemed to be the best choice! And I'm sure it comes as a shock, he LOVED them!

Peas Please

So, last week Isaac had his four month visit to the doctor. He weighed in at a respectable 15.1lbs! His doctor gave me the okay to start trying more exciting foods than oatmeal, so I started with peas!!! I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to what I feed this little guy, so I bought a food mill, which works fantastic!

Which to Choose, which to choose?

So, I've decided to enter Isaac in Regis & Kelly's 2010 Adorable Baby Contest!

But since he is simply one of the most beautiful, most photogenic baby boys on the planet, I have been having a bit of a hard time choosing a picture to send in!
As of right now, these are three pictures to choose from. Which I narrowed down from a mere few-thousand!

A touch of Dino Loooooove

My good friend Melanie's mom bought this cuddly dinosaur for Isaac for Christmas. At first I was a little bit worried that he wouldn't take to it, since he is just about the same size! I showed it to him the other night, but he wasn't too into it, but the next morning, while playing on his activity mat, he caught a glimpse of him out of the corner of his eye. He just HAD to have him! I held him within his reach and vwa-laa, sat back and let the magic happen! It turns out, he's one of Isaac's new bff's. He's so soft and cuddly, not to mention, incredibly light, so Isaac has no problem at all letting him know who's boss around here! Ha.
