I've been really wanting to take some pictures of Isaac with a sunset behind him. However, since the sun has been setting after he's gone to bed, it has yet to become a reality. Tonight's impromptu photo shoot is the best I'm gonna get.... for now anyway.

Wonderful

This morning is a little bit of a sad morning. It's the first day that Isaac and I woke up with the whole house to ourselves, in a while. But I suppose all good things must eventually come to an end.
We just had a simply wonderful visit from Michael's parents, and at the end of the week, his sister Julie and her baby girl came to join in the fun!
The ten days that they were here just flew by! Our days were filled with lots of love, and even more laughter (mostly by Isaac). Each morning Isaac and I had breakfast with Baba, this morning Isaac kept looking over my shoulder for her saying, "Baba, Baba Baba Baba". After that, and sometimes throughout the day, he would crawl up into Gigi's lap and drag a book with him each time. I'm pretty sure that Gigi read each of Isaac's books, at least a hundred times!
We were blessed with incredible weather, which made beach days a blast for everyone. I only wish we had made it to Menemsha for a sunset. . . Oh well, there's always next time!

Ready, Set. . . AND...... he's off!!
This morning after a few days of suggestion and a little coaxing, from his Gigi (Isaac's grandpa on Michael's side) Isaac started walking this morning! Until today, he hasn't really shown much interest in it at all.
Well, not since he started doing the ol' furniture cruise when he was seven months old. After that, he went back to a good, steady, extremely fast crawl.
Poor little guy, we need a larger space for him! He could only take a few steps, then bump, into the speed bump, a few steps, bump into the wall, a few steps, bump, into the fridge. It was like watching a one man bumper car show!
** I'll try to post the video as well as pictures, but it's a little long, so that takes forever to upload. **

Isaac meets Peter Rabbit
This morning, Isaac and I had a very special treat. After story hour at the Library, Peter Rabbit came to visit! There must be something very magical about our favorite librarian Nelia, because Isaac didn't even leave my lap.
Which is simply amazing within itself, I can't believe he sat still for a whole story! He was a little unsure about going to say hello to Peter. I think it may have been the swarms of louder, older kids all around. Lucky for us, we had terrific seats, so we got a great view!
We knew he was going to make an appearance so Isaac wore his Peter Rabbit outfit, AND brought along his own Peter Rabbit. Nelia was rather impressed.

Oh hello storm clouds
Yesterday afternoon, as soon as I laid Isaac down for his afternoon nap, it got curiously dark outside. Almost as if the night time and day time had switched. The wind suddenly picked up, and I realized all of my car windows were down. As I raced out to dodge the raindrops, and get them closed, I happened to look up at the sky....
I should have taken a video instead, and sent it to the director of the Harry Potter movies, it would have slipped into the film just perfectly!
The frightening, angry clouds were followed by a few hours of down pour, thunder, and lightning, non of which woke up Isaac. Whew!
By 4 o'clock, the sun was shining again, the birds were singing, and yet there was no rainbow! Pashaw, rip off I saw.

And we shall call him, Woof
Today, Isaac and I went to our favorite, quaint little pet store, LIttle Leona's. We were in search of a few algae eaters for our tank, since it's looking a tad on the scummy side, blech! It occurred to me while we were there, that our beloved Beta fish had recently passed away, and perhaps we should refill his bowl.
There was a whole shelf lined with Betas, too many to choose from. So I left it up to Isaac to decide! There were green ones, small ones, big ones, a few that had such long, torn looking finns, none of which Isaac paid any attention to. Then there was this little shrimpy one who swam up to the glass, and Isaac let out this super adorable giggle. That's the one!
After poking around the place for a while, and admiring all the other animals, bunnies, colorful tropical fish, ponies, the goat, ect, we headed home. After I cleaned out the bowl, I knelt down and asked Isaac what we should call our new pet. He crawled over, put his hands on the bag, spit out his pacifier, and in a very matter-of-fact kind of way, said "Woof".
Well, that's it then, I'd like to introduce Woof.
